This colouring page can be coloured in by students as part of a lesson about animals or the pets they have at home. It is based on my own pet, an Italian Greyhound called Isla. Could be used as part of a lesson on how to care for or nurture living creatures. Or as part of a living things unit.

A collection of photos of five ginger kittens that I was fostering for the RSPCA after they were abandoned. A useful resource for conversations about the life cycle, birth, death, pregnancy, and the things that we need if we keep pets. How do we keep them healthy? Also useful for discussions about genetics, why kittens have blue eyes, and how the kittens are ginger when their mum is a different colour. Or for talking about the pets we have ourselves or would like to have in the future. Ideal for primary school students, and students learning English as a foreign language. Compare with the pictures in Part One when the kittens were younger and their eyes were still blue, how else have they changed in just a few weeks?
NB. These were taken with slide film and not as digital pictures.

I created this colouring page of a Mayfly I found by Rydal Water in the Lake District for my students to colour in as part of our module on habitats, ecosystems, invertebrates, and pond dipping. I hope your class will have as much fun bringing the Mayfly to life as mine did. An augmented reality version of this page is also available in the published book to be released 2018. This will allow students to colour in the picture and then see it on their smartphone or tablet computer, along with further details from the National Curriculum.
